We invite you to apply for the Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship. Application dates for the 2010-2011 academic year will be January 1, 2010 to March 1, 2010.

Jese Cox with Cox Scholar receipants

  1. Resumé
    This document must include your Student ID number and should include the following: all activities, volunteer involvement, awards and honors, hobbies and interests. In addition, include details of your work history (paid and volunteer).
  2. Letters of Recommendation
    You must request two letters of support from individuals who can attest to your character. One of the letters should be written by a current or former employer. One letter should be from an IUB/IUPUI faculty member who can speak to your academic ability. Letters should be placed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the "Cox Scholars Selection Committee," and included with all other application materials. They may not be e-mailed or sent under
    separate cover.
  3. Personal Statement
    Please include a personal statement of no more than 250 words about why you should be selected as a Cox Scholar.
  4. Enclose a copy of all W-2s received for the previous year (2009)
    In order to confirm that the applicant meets the criteria with regard to employment, the Indiana University Foundation requests a copy of the applicants W-2 form. Applicants must submit a W-2 form in order to be considered for an award. By signing and submitting this information, the applicant agrees to disclose any, and acknowledges that there may be, confidential information on the W-2 form. The applicant understands that this information will be kept confidential and is only to be used to confirm eligibility for an award.
