The Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship affirms and rewards the efforts of Indiana University students who have demonstrated the motivation and resourcefulness required for success through their part-time work and solid academic performance. Available to students at the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses, it is the largest IU scholarship based on both of these significant criteria.
The IU Foundation will award 21 scholarships annually. One-third of the scholarships will be awarded to IUPUI students; two-thirds to IU Bloomington students.
Each scholar will receive an amount up to 75 percent of the yearly cost of attendance for an Indiana resident as determined by the Office of Student Financial Assistance on each campus. The award may be used to pay for tuition, room and board, books and other academic supplies, student fees, transportation, and miscellaneous expenses. Half the award will be applied to the fall semester, and the remaining half will be applied to the spring semester.
Applications and additional required materials will be accepted from January 1, 2010 to March 1, 2010. Interviews will take place in April and scholarship award winners will be notified by June 1.
