Daniel Lersch began working at IU Bloomington in University Division in 2014. Currently, he is the Associate Director of Advising and Co-Coordinator of the IU Peer Coach Program. Daniel joined the Cox Scholars Program in 2016. Cox Exploratory Scholars work as IU Peer Coaches. As an advising professional, Daniel also serves as an academic advisor for Cox Scholars in University Division. However, he can work with all Cox Scholars to provide academic advice and resources.

Before becoming an Associate Director, Daniel worked as an academic advisor. While working in this role, Daniel learned how to help students with a variety of academic interests and backgrounds plan to achieve success both inside and outside of the classroom. It is important to Daniel that students leave IU Bloomington after graduation with the skills necessary to excel in an ever-changing world and an unquenchable thirst for learning.

Daniel received a B.A. in political science and a B.S. in crime, law, and justice from Pennsylvania State University. He has an M.A. in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University.
