Being a Cox Access scholar has given me hope by allowing me to continue my education and work in my field while still gaining knowledge about it.
Tell us about your work placement experience.
My work placement is amazing. Everyone I've met has been kind and helpful, assisting me in video editing and offering advice on improvement.
What is something you have learned through your work?
Learning about the industry has shown me the importance of being patient when I edit scripts and videos to ensure that they are accessible to everyone. Working at IU Radio & Television Services provides me with the opportunity to improve in an area I haven't had much experience in before.
How will being a part of the Cox Scholars Program help you in the future?
Being a part of the Cox Scholars Program has helped me break out of my shyness, allowing me to speak to people in social situations and expand my network.
What do you do outside of the Cox Scholars Program?
I am in a fraternity called Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. I am also in an organization called Paso Paso, where I am learning how to conduct different Latin dances.
